It has been kept in good shape, and has the normal wear and tear scratches that occur with 2 years of riding under its belt, it has been kept in awesome shape and recent new parts include a new wheelset and disc brakes with the drive train replaced last fall.

Such things as the covers of the xtr shifters are missing due to small screws falling out, which doesnt affect shifting, It acutally helps it because you can flush debris out easier with some simple spray lube.
Basically you can ride the bike as soon as you take it out of the box.
