This weekend I raced the 24 Hour race with some buddies. We packed up and left on Friday,
Saturday was race day and was it ever hot. I was elected to race first, but didn't actually finish my first lap, due to some mechanical problems. Basically due to heat, I must have had a momentarily loss of something which ended having my bike clip a sapling and me being thrown over the bars superman style.
Once I pulled myself together I realized that my wheel was taco'ed. Great, first lap out and I'm basically done. Lucky we had one of our teammates still at the bike shop so he was able to bring me a new front wheel.
After that it was clear sailing for the rest of the race, our team Masters of the Universe, finished 15th with 23 laps of 15km. The winning team did 30, which boggles my mind, and also means that they had a full 10 person team as we just had 6.

not to get to nit picky but your team was 14th, and the team that won did 31 laps, and had 8 guys on it....close enough
